Sports and action for your city break in the Ruhr Area: At the Indoor Skydiving Centre in Bottrop, the first high performance wind tunnel in Germany, an experience becomes an AIRxperience.


Visitors can discover here how it feels to float in an airstream. Over the course of multiple "flights", you will learn the basic positions of what is known as "bodyflying". The basic position is the same as that used for freefalling when parachute jumping.

The flight time is considerably longer, however, than during real parachute jumps from a height of 4,000 metres. Anyone who wants to defeat gravity for a moment should therefore simply come to Germany's first high performance wind tunnel. All visitors are accompanied at all times by experienced trainers.

And if you just want to watch, that's absolutely fine too. In the immediate vicinity of the Bottrop Indoor Skydiving Centre is the Bottrop Alpine Centre, another place where active people can get their money's worth. Here you can bring the whole family all year round and practise your skiing on the longest roofed piste in the world.
