Want to holiday in a converted construction wagon and feel a bit like Peter Lustig? Well you can do just that at Ruhrcamping in Essen. A total of eight converted wagons offer you totally special nights right on the Ruhr. An unusual way to stay in the Ruhr region!
"Mini hotel on wheels"
With the intention of being more comfortable than a tent, more spacious than a caravan and even simpler than a hotel, Ruhrcamping was developed in 2007 as a "mini hotel on wheels". All eight wagons are named based on Essen districts and called, for example, "Kray", "Horst" or "Rüttenscheid". Up to four people can unwind and relax here overlooking the Ruhr.
Small but powerful
There is no need to compromise on comfort in the converted wagons because alongside the shower and toilet, isolated kitchenettes have also been installed. The perfect base for anyone who loves the Ruhr and nature and, despite their short break, wants to spend it in the heart of the Ruhr region. Those who love sleeping in a tent or caravan have also found the right spot at Ruhrcamping! Best of all: The perfect location in Essen, Ruhrcamping is the perfect starting spot for your adventure exploring the Ruhr region.
