Back across the fields to Maxipark Back across the fields to Maxipark From junction 53, the tour now heads north again to Hamm. Wide fields and many horse farms dominate the landscape.
Visitors should allow themselves plenty of time for Maximilian Park in Hamm. In 1984, a state garden show was held on the site of the former Maximilian mine. A visitor highlight and a popular photo subject is the enormous glass elephant, which is also the symbol of the city of Hamm. The butterfly house is also well worth seeing.
