This year, there are 40 nights of cinema fun in the most unusual film venue in Germany: the casting bay of a decommissioned blast furnace in Duisburg-Nord Landschaftspark. An irresistible mix of current hits, classics and cult films awaits you. Every year, the audience is captivated by the summer film festival so not only die-hard film fans are attracted to the delicate balance of ‘BEST OF’ and ‘OUT NOW’, action, drama and comedy in the magically illuminated industrial setting of Jonathan Park. Even when the weather doesn’t play ball, there is no problem - the pull-out roof means that you can sit in the dry whilst it rains.
A beach feeling and industrial heritage
In addition to a spectacular film venue and a thoughtfully-organised cinema programme, the open-air cinema in Duisburg-Nord Landschaftspark also guarantees a comprehensive gastronomical offering in a beach atmosphere. Five times per week – Mondays to Fridays – live music joins the film festival. Which makes waiting an experience. You can also walk through the Landschaftspark before the cinema experience. You can marvel at the amount of industrial heritage on the extensive site or wander through the former bunker gardens.
