SEA LIFE – dive into the underwater world in Oberhausen

With more than 5,000 marine creatures and over 2 million litres of water, the SEA LIFE Aquarium in Oberhausen is the biggest in Germany. Located at Centro Oberhausen, here you can experience a unique underwater world where the animals are up close. In addition to seeing exciting things, you have the opportunity to take part in a number of interactive activities. You can even touch some of the marine residents in petting pools. You can also gain a special perspective in the 1.5 million-litre oasis pools: A 10-metre-long glass tunnel leads you through the marine world, past sharks, rays and turtles. A glass-bottomed boat also takes you on an exciting journey of discovery over the tropical reef and in the outdoor area playful otters charm young and old visitors alike.

Educational trips to SEA LIFE Oberhausen

A further highlight of SEA LIFE Oberhausen is the shark breeding where you can see adolescent sharks and rays in an underwater dome. Explore SEA LIFE Oberhausen on your own or take an interesting tour, the turtle adventure, one of the themed worlds. Great trips are also offered for school groups and nurseries and teaching material is provided. For children’s birthdays, young visitors can go on an adventurous treasure hunt. What's more, all visitors to the SEA LIFE Aquarium in Oberhausen can see daily feedings and learn lots about the animals’ feeding habits. In addition to temporary special exhibitions on various topics, events also regularly take place in SEA LIFE which take you on a journey to far distant oceans.
