Animal encounters in Kaisergarten
The free petting zoo is the highlight of Kaisergarten in Oberhausen where on 5.5 hectares you can get close to around 500 domestic animals from 25 species, as well as 45 types of bird. In addition to sheep, horses and pigs, the zoo at Oberhausen Castle is also home to a guinea pig colony. You can also stroke and feed many of the animals, and to this end there are feed machines all over the park. You will also learn some trivia in the NaturErlebnisSchule (Nature Experience School) which has suitable activities for every age group. You can then end the eventful day with a game of mini golf.
