Bunker Museum Oberhausen – an insight into German history

In the Bunker Museum in Oberhausen, you will gain a detailed insight into the turbulent war period in our country. The museum – which is the only bunker museum in the region – was opened in 2001 in an empty high-rise bunker in the city’s Knappen district. In the immediate surroundings, you will also find the Gasometer and Centro.

‘Home Front’ permanent exhibition

In the permanent exhibition ‘Home Front – From the ‘Blitzkrieg’ in Europe to the air war on the Ruhr’, you will receive interesting information on the threat to the Ruhr region during the Second World War. The younger generation is also considered in the Bunker Museum in Oberhausen: There are special children’s texts for younger visitors for a better understanding of the subject. Entry to the Bunker Museum in Oberhausen is free.
