Come to Bottrop-Kirchhellen and embark on an exciting journey through the amusement park Beck Castle. The area offers rides and all kinds of adventures for the entire family. Roller coasters and adventure simulator, car scooters and horror cellars promise a day full of fun and excitement – and all this on the historic grounds of the castle. The moated castle Beck was built from 1766 to 1777 and once served as "Maison de Plaisance", a pleasure castle for the leisure activities of noble men and women. Today one rarely finds nobility in the amusement park Schloss Beck, but the leisure fun has certainly been preserved.
History meets amusement
In the 1960s, the new owners, the Kuchenbäcker family, turned the area around the baroque moated castle into an amusement park in order to recoup the costs for the restoration of the building in accordance with the preservation order. The manor house still takes you on a journey into the past with its special historical charm. The moated castle is one of the best preserved late baroque monuments in Westphalia!
Running, climbing and marvelling
Since 2014, in addition to carousels and the like, a 220-metre-long treetop path, an 8.5-metre-high slide tower, caves and climbing walls invite you to romp, climb and marvel. Plaingy and discovering – this is the motto of the Beck Castle theme park, which attracts around 200,000 visitors every year. Schloss Beck is suitable for children of all ages up to about 14 years and there are also a number of attractions for the very youngest children.
