A cultural and architectural highlight awaits you near the Bochum Bermuda3Ecks: the Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr. A former church serves as a foyer for the two performance halls of the establishment. The larger of the two halls can accommodate around 960 visitors. The building complex allows for a varied programme structure and an extraordinary combination of artistic creativity. Here you can not only experience the Bochum Symphony Orchestra live, but also attend performances by the small ensemble of the Bochum Music School, the Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Choir.
Diverse musical experiences in Bochum
The Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr offers you a wide variety of musical experiences. From after-work enjoyment with lounge sounds to readings and orchestral concerts, you can look forward to a generous offer here. The Musikforum does not see itself as a concert hall, as in the neighbouring cities of Essen or Dortmund, as it is primarily not a guest performance venue, but a permanent home for the renowned city orchestra. A place where the "BoSy" under the direction of General Music Director Steven Sloane can rehearse and perform properly and where their sound fully unfolds.
