An absolutely unforgettable weekend that I don't think anyone will experience in this form again

With these words, Pascal says goodbye, the winner of our first intensive football event, who has had a phenomenal weekend in Dortmund.

The ultimate football experience in the Ruhr area, with everything that goes with it. From April 1st to 3rd it was time. The first two winners of an intensive football experience were received in Dortmund and taken on a journey through Ruhr football. We accompanied them.

On the day of arrival there were jaw-dropping insights into the world of BVB with Jan-Henrik Gruszecki, who, as a former BVB ultra and spokesman for the fan groups, is now personal advisor to Aki Watzke and head of the team for strategy and culture in the club. And not just anywhere, but with delicious schnitzels and Dortmunder export in the restaurant “Mit Schmackes” by Kevin Großkreutz. The boys spontaneously became guests of the first podcast recording of the Ruhr.Fussball podcast “11×11”.

After talking shop at the bar table, the winners actually had to take action themselves the following day. We went on a tour of discovery through Dortmund with the MG Rover from the youngtimer fleet of the ADAC, before taking off the football shoes for a “two-on-two” duel and some freestyle challenges with the freestyle pros Marcel and Pascal Gurk at the legendary Rote Erde stadium were unpacked. “Tunnel one point, goal one point!” was Pascal Gurk's announcement, which the winning Pascal implemented directly to everyone's jubilation.

While our winners were still doing sports themselves in the afternoon, in the evening it was full concentration on sharing the excitement and trembling at the top game between BVB and RB Leipzig in Signal-Iduna-Park. Even if there were really no cuts against Rasenballsport Leipzig, the experience in the sold-out stadium was emotionally charged and thrilling after more than two years - albeit differently than hoped.

The intensive football event was concluded with a football-mad tour of the German Football Museum with exclusive photo highlights. Here, our winners were able to delve deep into German football history and relive thrilling events. From the World Cup ball from 1954 to the treasury including souvenir selfies with the winner's bowl and World Cup trophy, every football heart beats faster here.

The weekend was an intense football experience from start to finish, where not only our winners were able to rediscover the unique football culture in the Ruhr area. Once again it became clear: Here in the Ruhr area, football is more than just a sport. It is culture, history and passion.
