Zoo Duisburg Koalas, Duisburg

Duisburg Zoo

In the middle of the city of Duisburg, Duisburg Zoo is a wonderland with around 9.000 animals from over 400 species. Particularly exciting are the rare Tasmanian devils, which can only be seen in this zoo in Germany, as well as the cute koalas and cozy wombats. The enclosures are designed to be as close to nature as possible, so you can experience the Siberian tigers in an atmospheric environment.

In the Rio Negro tropical hall you can meet the colorful inhabitants of South America. As if you were right in the middle of it all, small monkey species and sloths move freely in the visitor area. In the aquarium next door, colorful surgeonfish and bright corals provide a lively aquatic experience.

The gorilla area is also always worth a visit, where the young animals and the impressive silverback are active in their large enclosure. On the lemur island you can see the ring-tailed lemurs up close, while on the farm a petting zoo, goats, sheep and mini-cows await the little ones.

The adventure playground offers lots of fun and the opportunity to romp around, while the adjacent restaurant invites you to take a short break. Duisburg Zoo combines exciting animal experiences with entertaining activities - ideal for explorers of all ages.
