Werksschwimmbad at Zollverein

The Werksschwimmbad at Zollverein in 2001 by the artists Dirk Paschke and Daniel Milohnic. It was created as part of the art project "Contemporary Art and Criticism". The location is as unusual as the construction itself: the 2,4 meter deep and 12,5 meter long pool consists of two overseas containers that have been cut apart and re-welded. This creative design symbolizes the mixing of industrial culture and modern art, and invites both amazement and relaxation.
