The meadow at the intersection of Viktoria and Oskar-Hoffmann-Straße was remodeled, partially paved, and planted with new trees, hedges, and perennials. The flowers bloom between March and October. Due to its open concept, the square appears inviting and spacious. The life-size bronze statue of the actress, created by Karl Ulrich Nuss in 2012, was moved from its location on Hans-Schalla Platz to Tana-Schanzara-Platz in 2016. The statue sits on a bench under one of the cherry trees and overlooks the Schauspielhaus, on whose stage Tana performed for over 50 years. When it gets dark, the statue is illuminated by two floor lamps. Between 1956 and 2006, Tana Schanzana was a permanent member of the ensemble, initially in comic supporting roles, later also in tragic leading roles. She also worked in German and international film productions.
