Lippepark? Awesome!
The Lippepark Hamm is a versatile leisure and landscape park that not only links three of Hamm's districts, but is also a meeting place for a wide variety of cultures and religions. Once a center of mining, the area has been transformed into an impressive mix of fun sports facilities, recreational areas and meeting points for locals and visitors.
There are a total of four slag heaps in Lippepark, each with a characteristic slag heap sign. The first to be built in 2016 was the Schacht Franz Nord slag heap, which was a ten-meter-high, walkable spiral made of steel and creatively reinterpreted as a symbol of the industrial past. This process continues, while the Kissinger Höhe, Radbod, Humbert and Sundern slag heaps await their unique transformations. This transformation makes Lippepark a lively place where culture, history and leisure come together.
The park is an ideal place for adventurers and creative mindswho want to discover a new perspective on the Ruhr area and its hidden treasures. With a variety of fun sports facilities, including a skate park and numerous event locations, the Lippepark offers many opportunities for spontaneous activities and creative development. All of this with free admission, parking and a convenient connection to public transport.
Curious? Then head to Lippepark to find your own slag heap sign and experience an exciting side of industrial history in the heart of Hamm. The park combines history and modernity, recreation and culture in a way that makes every explorer's heart beat faster.
