In 1964, under the visionary leadership of Helmut Bettenhausen, the Unser Fritz 2/3 artists' mine was developed from a disused mine. This place is more than a simple testimony to the past - it is a pulsating hub of modern industrial culture. Bettenhausen recognized the potential of mining architecture early on, which courageously opened itself up to cultural change and served as an inspiring backdrop for creative development.

Today, Unser Fritz 2/3 inspires with a diverse program of events, ranging from exhibitions and discussions to concerts and readings. The former conveyor machine hall is particularly impressive, having established itself as an ideal event location thanks to its unusual architecture.
