KoFabrik Bochum - a lively hub of creative energy, embedded in the heart of the Ruhr area. Once a traditional ironworks, it is now awakening in its new splendor as a modern cultural center and space for entertainment. The transformed architecture shines with an additional two floors, which were added in 2021, on a total area of 2000 square meters and houses several innovative areas. The Pioneer House impressively forms the centerpiece, with four special rooms, including the "mitwerk" - a vibrant co-working space - and the KoBüros, which promote creative, collaborative work. Here the community unfolds in an inspiring neighborhood hall and becomes a hub for creativity and discovery.
Right outside the doors of the KoFabrik is Imbuschplatz, a green oasis in the middle of the city that serves numerous functions as the neighborhood's seasonal living room. Whether as a neighborhood garden or a lively venue for art performances such as concerts - the square pulsates with life and social interactions. A special highlight: the "Land for sale" project, which offers individuals and groups the opportunity to green their own plot and garden together. Here, urbanity is cleverly combined with community and nature, bringing the urban heartbeat of the Ruhr area to life.
