This interactive approach runs through the entire museum, which, true to the motto 'Participate instead of just watching', presents unique items such as Jürgen von Manger's golden record. A historical classroom also provides vivid insights into the teaching methods of more than 100 years ago and invites you to reflect and marvel.
Outside, visitors can expect a highlight typical of the Ruhr region: crowned by the statue of Fortuna, the goddess of luck, the traditional “Bude” is a special gem that perfectly embodies the urban charm of the region.
The Emschertal Museum is a place for explorers, cultural experts, and anyone who wants to experience the history of the Ruhr region in a new and dynamic way. It uniquely combines historical relevance with a modern, engaging experience and is not only an ideal destination for school and family outings, but also welcomes groups of curious cultural tourists.
