Flottmann Halls Herne

Flottmann Halls, Herne

A visit to the Flottmann Halls in Herne is a journey of discovery into a world where art and industrial history merge. Collaborations with renowned academies and art schools promote the exchange of current trends and strengthen the creative atmosphere. The focus is on innovative projects that shape the exhibition space themselves and continually offer fresh impressions.

A special highlight is the Kuboshow art fair, which has been offering visitors a platform to purchase high-quality and accessible works of art for over two decades. Not only is art experienced here, but future talents are also discovered.

The impressive sculpture park was created in 2004 and has been continually expanded throughout the RUHR.2010 Capital of Culture year. Over 22 impressive sculptures, including works by artists such as Heinrich Brockmeier and Peter Schwickerath, transform walks into a top-class art experience. These works invite visitors to explore the relationship between art and nature in an open space.

Particular attention is paid to the artistically designed, wrought-iron Art Nouveau gate by Karl Weinhold, which sets a historical accent and recalls the industrial past - at that time used as the entrance gate to the Flottmann-Werke company premises, today a part of the cultural heritage.

The Flottmann Halls are not just an event venue, but a creative playground that attracts curious people and inspires them with impressive exhibitions and innovative events.
