Hiking in the Ruhr area? It's possible!
On Hiking Day we offer a guided hike lasting around 3,5 hours through the Hoheward Landscape Park. Over a distance of around 10 kilometers, you will learn exciting facts about the landscape park and climb a few meters in altitude.
The highlights of the Hoheward slag heap (horizon observatory, sundial) and the summit of the Hoppenbruch slag heap are on the route, as is the Ewaldsee in the nearby Emscherbruch.
Registration is mandatory. Please remember to wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes and enough provisions.
