This tour offers particularly interesting insights into the architectural features of the exterior of the historic event venue. But the interior of the town hall also still houses numerous art historical treasures.
Among the works on display are large-scale mosaics by Johan Thorn Prikker in the entrance area of the Ruhrfoyer. Further artworks by outstanding artists can be seen in the corridors: works by Constantin Emile Meunier, Gerhard Marcks, Hermann Lickfeld, and Otto Pankok.
