Hiking in the Ruhr area? It's possible!
For Hiking Day, we offer a guided, approximately 3,5-hour hike through the Hoheward Landscape Park. Along a distance of approximately 10 kilometers, you'll learn fascinating facts about the landscape park and gain some elevation gain. Highlights of the Hoheward slag heap (horizon observatory, sundial) and the summit of the Hoppenbruch slag heap are also on the itinerary, as is Lake Ewald in the nearby Emscherbruch.
Registration is mandatory. Please remember to wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes and enough provisions.
