Gasometer Oberhausen

What looks like a huge barrel - which is also affectionately called that - is the Gasometer Oberhausen. Europe's highest exhibition hall towers around 117 meters above the city, making it a landmark of the Ruhr area that you can see from afar. If the weather is good, you should definitely enjoy the view from the roof of the gasometer. The former gas storage facility is now the setting for impressive exhibitions. "The mountain is calling", "Wonders of nature" and "The fragile paradise" are just a few examples of great (exhibition) cinema.
