Thanks to the well-developed infrastructure, the geological tourist attractions in the GeoPark Ruhrgebiet are easy to access. You could visit the national geosite Mutten Valley, the cradle of the hard coal mining industry, or the brickyard Hagen-Vorhalle, the archaeological site of the oldest flying insects in geological history. No less spectacular are the numerous museums with their geological collections, show caves and visitor‘s mines.
