Oer-Erkenschwick

Oer-Erkenschwick, one of the youngest towns in the Ruhr Area, is a destination that is particularly attractive for nature enthusiasts. The highlights are Stimbergpark, "Hohe Mark" nature park and the proximity to the Haard forest.

 

For a hiking holiday in the Ruhr Area, Oer-Erkenschwick is an option. Large forest areas with outstanding hiking opportunities provide numerous tour possibilities. Cyclists and mountain bikers are also spoilt for choice by nature.

Many visitors gravitate towards the Stimbergpark, but the Hohe Mark nature reserve and the nearby Haard forest are also popular destinations for excursions.
