The old Hanseatic city of Kamen lies in the East of the Ruhr Area and is one of the insiders' tips in the region.

 

The central train station as the starting point for the Emscher Park Cycle Route, makes Kamen a popular destination for a cycling holiday. In addition to shops and boutiques Kamen's town centre also offers cosy pubs, bars and cafés. Visitors to the town can enjoy the great Kamen hospitality.

The Kamen cultural scene has a wide range of events to offer: there are regular concerts, theatre nights, lectures and recitals in the town hall, the concert hall and the music school.
