[The Unperfekthaus (UpH) in Essen is a unique artists' village over seven floors where visitors can eat, drink and party, meet for business appointments or make contacts with artists.

Located in a former monastery building right in the middle of the city centre of Essen, it also has free rooms available, workshops, stages, sound and lighting equipment, computers, internet and more.

As many people as possible should take advantage of its un-perfect environment. To work here, all you need is a creative idea. The restaurant area's buffet also offers meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes for hungry guests.

The entry fee of € 5.50 includes all non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks, free use of the internet connect, table tennis, table football, cosy booths and more.

You can indeed: the Zollverein pit XII is so beautiful that in December 2001 it was elevated to the rank of a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. The pit went into operation in 1932.
