A museum for experiments and discoveries can be found at the Phenomania Discovery Field in Essen.
The interactive exhibition on the grounds of the Zollverein World Heritage Site, at Schacht 3/7/10, is a favourite excursion destination, particularly for families with children who want to engage with the natural laws and sciences through play.
At about 80 stations both inside and outside the museum visitors of all ages can go on a journey of discovery and, for instance, succumb to optical illusions or lose balance on solid ground. The Phenomania Discovery Field is also exciting for school or nursery outings, for both teachers and pupils.
Under the motto "understanding by doing", there are new things to discover and learn for both young and old.
