Deutsche Arbeits Schutz Ausstellung

The discovery exhibition run by DASA, the Germany Occupational Health and Safety Exhibition, is one of our insiders' tips for any trip to the Ruhr Area.

Under the motto, "Experience: Man // Work // Technology", this innovative and exciting museum puts all of your senses to good use in experiencing the working worlds of yesterday, today and tomorrow. The German Occupational Health and Safety Exhibition was opened in 1993, and was completed over an exhibition space of 13,000 m² in Dortmund as a part of the world exhibition "Expo 2000".

The guiding topic of the exhibition is the development of the working world in terms of occupational health and safety. Join in and try it out are the key ideas here. You can sit in a cockpit or hold a dentist's drill in your hand. The central problem focuses on securing central human values such as integrity, dignity, health, and participation in social life as relates to everyday working life.

To this end, historical and current working conditions are displayed. Workplaces from various industries have been reconstructed and made accessible for visitors.
